Introducing the Cooked Spoon Foundation
As many of you know, we’ve been operating a food bank within Buddy with a Thrift Store, and we’re thrilled to share that it has been a tremendous success! Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to help many individuals and families in need. We are excited to announce our plans to take this initiative further by opening a dedicated food hub in Aldergrove called Crooked Spoon Foundation.

Our Vision
Crooked Spoon will be a welcoming space where everyone can feel at home.
In the beginning, we plan to provide several microwave ovens for those who may not have access to cooking facilities, creating a cozy environment where people can heat meals that are provided in our fridge and freezers and enjoy them at a table—much like a make-it-yourself restaurant.
This will be a place of comfort and nourishment for those in our community who need it most.
Ultimately, we aim to establish a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals for anyone who needs extra help. We believe that everyone deserves access to nutritious food, and with your help, we can make this vision a reality.
Officially A Charitable Organization
We are also excited to share that Crooked Spoon, along with Buddy with a Thrift Store, is now a Charitable organization. This means that Buddy with a Thrift Store will operate under the Crooked Spoon umbrella, allowing us to streamline our efforts and maximize our impact. Together, we aim to provide even more resources and support for those in need.
